Fig. 01 — American Saddler, Park City, Utah
(a)
A new build in Park City, furnished to feel gathered over years rather than delivered in a season. The architecture is calm; the layers give it character.
Pale oak millwork, plaster, and soapstone set the base. Against them sit carved and antique casegoods, woven seating, and hand-finished lighting — texture standing in for ornament.
The plan is organized around the fireplace and the kitchen banquette, the two places this family actually lives when the snow comes in.
